Winter Writing Festival 2024

Main Street Ravenna will be hosting our annual Winter Writing Festival (WWF) coming back to Ravenna Saturday, February 17th, 2024 10 AM – 5 PM. 

For those not familiar with the Winter Writing Festival, Main Street Ravenna will host a number of workshops, a writing contest award session for our Ravenna students and the Keynote David Dix Speaker.

Our workshops cover topics such as poetry, graphic novels, how to write mysteries, children’s books, and more!  We are holding workshops in downtown businesses and buildings to bring people into the stores and to walk downtown.

This year our David Dix Keynote Speaker is Amanda Flower!
Amanda is a local mystery author who has published contemporary, magical, historical, Amish and Childrens mysteries – she has published 50 books in 13 years!
Amanda is a USA Today bestselling and Agatha Award-winning author of over forty-five mystery novels. Her novels have received starred reviews from Library JournalPublishers Weekly, and Romantic Times, and she had been featured in USA Today, First for Women, and Woman’s World. Her first Emily Dickinson Mystery, Because I Could Not Stop for Death, was an Agatha Award winner and Mary Higgins Clark Nominee. She currently writes for Penguin-Random House (Berkley), Kensington, and Sourcebooks.
